Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RenewedBirth services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Services Description

RenewedBirth provides non-medical postpartum and newborn care support services, including but not limited to: feeding assistance, newborn care guidance, light household support, emotional support, and sibling care. All services are provided by independent contractors vetted by RenewedBirth.

3. Non-Medical Disclaimer

RenewedBirth care professionals are not medical practitioners. We do not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment. Clients must maintain regular contact with their healthcare providers. In case of medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

4. Booking & Payment

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by RenewedBirth.

Payment is due as follows:

  • Individual sessions: Payment due at the end of each session
  • Packages: Full payment required in advance to secure booking
  • Gift registry: Payment required before certificate is issued

Accepted payment methods: Credit card (via Stripe), e-transfer.

All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and exclude applicable taxes (GST).

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations by Client:

  • More than 24 hours notice: Full refund or credit applied to future booking
  • Less than 24 hours notice: 50% of session fee retained
  • No-show: Full session fee charged, no refund

Cancellations by RenewedBirth:

If we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund and priority rescheduling at no additional cost.

Package Refunds:

Unused package hours may be refunded within 90 days of purchase, less a 10% administrative fee. Hours used are calculated at the non-discounted rate.

6. Liability Limitation

RenewedBirth provides supportive, non-medical care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RenewedBirth and its care professionals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

RenewedBirth carries professional liability insurance. A certificate of insurance is available upon request.

7. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration and intake
  • Ensure a safe working environment for care professionals
  • Disclose any allergies, medical conditions, or safety concerns relevant to care
  • Supervise care professionals as needed and maintain ultimate responsibility for your child
  • Notify us immediately of any concerns or incidents

8. Confidentiality

RenewedBirth maintains strict confidentiality. Care professionals are bound by confidentiality agreements. Information will not be shared with third parties without your written consent, except where required by law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the RenewedBirth platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of RenewedBirth or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.

10. Termination

RenewedBirth reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to services at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
